Sales and Other Income

Where: Settings › Generic Settings › Sales and Other Income

For walk-in customers, prices are based from — Wholesale Retail Price A Price B Price C Price D Price E For walk-in customers, Apply "Other->Product Discount"​

Choices: Yes / No

The price used when a sales transaction is for a walk-in customer: wholesale, retail, or one of price A–E. With retail, the extra choice can also apply the product discounts from Product Discount to walk-in customers.

Affects: Product, Inventory Transaction Summary Report, Sales Outbound, Sales

Unit based on History?​

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: when you add a product for a customer who bought it before, the unit from their last purchase is used.
  • No: the product's default unit is used.

Affects: Customer

For sales transaction, restrict price to not go below cost​

Choices: Restrict / Show Warning / Don't restrict / Restrict, but allow if: / With Other > Product Discount / With Manual Discount

What happens when a row's selling price is lower than the product's cost:

  • Restrict: the transaction can't be saved.
  • Show Warning: CIRMS warns you and lets you continue.
  • Don't restrict: no check.
  • Restrict, but allow if:: restricted, except rows whose low price comes from a product discount (With Other > Product Discount) or a manual discount (With Manual Discount), depending on the boxes ticked.

Affects: Whole system, Sales Outbound, Sales Return Inbound, Sales Return, Sales

If customer is based on "% Add from Purchase" or "% Discount from Wholesale/Retail" Price, save the % rate as Discount rate in transaction?​

Choices: Yes / No

For customers priced as "% add from purchase" or "% discount from wholesale/retail":

  • Yes: the row keeps the base price as its original price and the % is saved as the row's discount rate.
  • No: the % is built into the price itself (no discount shown).

Hide all Sales & Collection Transactions before the specified date?​

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: sales, sales outbound, sales returns, counters and collections dated before the date you enter are hidden from users. Users with the module's "show hidden" permission (for example Sales and Other Income › Sales Outbound › Show Hidden DR) still see them.
  • No: nothing is hidden.

Affects: Inventory Transaction Summary Report, Collection (Down Payment), Collection, Counter, Sales Outbound, Sales Return Inbound, Sales Return, Sales, Stock Requests (From Other Branches), Stock Requests (To Other Branches)

Allow negative qty (as Returns) in Sales and Sales Outbound​

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: rows in sales and sales outbound can have a negative quantity, to record returned items in the same transaction (only zero is refused).
  • No: quantities must be positive.

For regular customers, prices are based from​

Choices: Based on customer setting / Wholesale / Retail

The price used for regular (registered) customers:

  • Based on customer setting: each customer's own "selling price based on" is used (wholesale, retail, price A–E, historical price, % rates…), and the customer screen shows that field.
  • Wholesale / Retail: that price is used for every regular customer.

Update Pricing based on changed customer data. — Sales and Sales Outbound Price based on customer setting​

Choices: Yes / No

When prices follow the customer's setting and you change the customer (or their data) on a sales or sales outbound that already has products:

  • Yes: CIRMS offers to update the rows to the new customer's prices.
  • No: CIRMS only warns you; the prices on the rows stay.

Affects: Online store (not part of the web system)

For sales transaction, restrict products with "Zero" prices​

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: sales transactions with a row whose price is zero (or less) can't be saved or approved ("zero price not allowed").
  • No: zero prices are allowed, for example for free items.
