System Theme

Choose the appearance mode for the application. You can select a light, dark or classic theme

Choices: Choose from a list

Changes the colours of the whole system for all users (for example classic, light or dark). The screen switches as soon as you choose; click Save to keep it.

Affects: Whole system

Default number of rows (max of 100) — Setting a high number can cause slowdowns.

Set the default number of rows displayed per page in data tables. You can enter a value from 1 to 100.

Choices: Number

How many rows every list shows per page (1–100). Users can still change pages. Higher numbers make lists slower to load.

Affects: All transactions, Whole system, Reports

Monetary Precision

Set the number of decimal places to use when displaying monetary values. Common values are 0 (no decimals), 2 (standard for most currencies), or up to 4 for higher accuracy.

Choices: Number

The minimum number of decimal places amounts and prices show everywhere (screens, printouts, exports), from 0 to 6. For example 2 shows 12.50. Amounts with more decimals show more, up to a maximum set by Nelsoft; a number above that maximum gives an error and is set back to 0. Only the display changes; stored values keep their full precision.

Affects: All transactions, Whole system, Reports

Hide Deleted Transactions

When enabled, transactions marked as deleted will be hidden from all views and reports. Disabling this option will show deleted transactions with appropriate visual indicators.

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: deleted transactions are left out of all transaction lists, and the "deleted" filter is removed.
  • No: deleted transactions stay in the lists (with the deleted colour/indicator) and can be filtered.

Affects: All transactions, Whole system, Physical Inventory Count, Product Conversion, Payment (Down Payment), Payment, Collection (Down Payment), Collection

Enable or disable colored row highlights in the transaction list to visually represent each transaction's status (e.g., green for completed, yellow for pending, red for deleted).

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: each row in the transaction lists gets the background colour you pick here for its status (deleted, draft, for approval, declined, and whether the inbound/outbound/payment/collection is none, incomplete or complete). Checks and card/e-payment lists use the Pending For Posting / Transferred colours.
  • No: all rows are white. See Lists.

Affects: Whole system

Display current user's ID and code as watermark in the entire part of system? — The purpose of the watermark: If the user takes a screenshot and sends it without permission, the screenshot will have the watermark of user's ID and user's code so that the legal responsibility of the user's confidentiality agreement can be investigated.

Enable this setting to display the current user's ID and unique code as a semi-transparent watermark on all pages and interfaces. This helps deter unauthorized sharing and provides visual traceability.

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: every page shows the signed-in user's ID and code as a faint watermark, so screenshots and photos of the screen can be traced to the user.
  • No: no watermark.

Affects: Whole system

Sorting & Express Filter: Apply last sorting/filter used and corresponding values as preset references? — Date-time filters not included.

When enabled, the system will remember and automatically apply the last sorting and express filter settings (and their values) used in the Module List View. This helps maintain continuity in your workflow.

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: each user's last sorting and express-filter values in a list (and in the product selector) are saved and applied again the next time they open it. Date and time filters are not remembered.
  • No: lists always open with the default sorting and filters.

Affects: Whole system, Reports

Display type of "Date and Time" filter in all applicable modules

Choose how the Date & Time filter should appear (based on two types/mode available in the system).

Choices: Old Version Type / New Version Type

Chooses which of the two date & time filter styles appears in lists and reports (the older or the newer picker). It only changes how the filter looks and is entered, not the results.

Affects: Whole system, Reports

Passcode Length

Set the required length for passcodes used in authentication or access. A longer passcode can enhance security. Common lengths range from 4 to 12 digits or characters.

Choices: Number

Length of the POS passcode CIRMS generates when you click GENERATE PASSCODE on a user (Data › User). Existing passcodes don't change.

Affects: Whole system, User

Display badge count in all applicable modules? — Badge Count: Pending/Due/Warning Transaction or Data Count indicator in applicable modules such as (Sales Outbound, Received Checklist, Payment and Collection Due Warning Report and Product Inventory Warning Report modules) This will be displayed the next day after enabling.

Enable this setting to display real-time badge counts (such as unread transactions, pending tasks, or alerts) in navigation menus and relevant modules. Useful for at-a-glance awareness of outstanding items.

Choices: Yes / No

  • Yes: menu items and module tabs show a small count of pending, due or warning items (for example sales outbound, received checks, due payments/collections, product inventory warnings). Clicking through opens the list filtered to those items. Counts start the day after you turn it on.
  • No: no counts.

Affects: Whole system, Inventory Transaction Summary Report

Transaction List: Refresh the list after bulk edits?

When enabled, the transaction list will automatically refresh to reflect all changes immediately after completing a bulk edit operation. Disabling this will require manual refresh to see updates.

Choices: Ask every time after bulk edits / Yes / No

After a Bulk Edit in a transaction or product list:

  • Ask every time after bulk edits: CIRMS asks whether to reload the list.
  • Yes: the list reloads automatically to show the changes.
  • No: the list stays as it is until you refresh it.

Affects: All transactions, Whole system, Product, Payment (Down Payment), Payment, Collection (Down Payment), Collection

Default duration for date selectors (# of days from current date) — Setting a high number can cause slowdowns.

Sets the number of days shown by default when opening any page. Pages will load from the last # of days.

Choices: Number

When a list or report opens, its date filter starts this many days before today, so only recent records load. 0 = no default range. Larger numbers load more data and are slower.

Affects: Whole system
