What it's for

Use it as the branch's cash book: to count the cash drawer or safe against the system, and to see which payments, collections, expenses, incomes, bank deposits and down payments moved cash. The first line is the balance before the start date; each later line adds In and subtracts Out.

Example

At closing, the branch cashier runs the report for today. It starts at 12,500.00, shows a collection of 4,800.00 received from ABC Grocery and a payment of 2,300.00 to Metro Foods, and ends at 15,000.00. She counts 15,000.00 in the safe, so the cash is complete.
