Product Inventory Value
Shows how much stock of each product each branch has now, and what that stock is worth at cost and at retail price.

What it's for
Use it for stock valuation at month end, to see how much money is tied up in a category, brand or supplier, and to find products with negative stock. Stock is today's stock, so run it on the day you need the figure.
On 31 March the accountant opens the report, sets Branch (Inventory) to all stores, ticks Combine values for the same product? so each product is one line, and clicks Click to show footer. The footer shows Total Cost Amount 1,245,300.00 and Total Retail Amount 1,712,800.00. Negative Inventory shows −35: some products were sold before being received, which must be fixed before closing the month. She exports the list to Excel for the auditor.
Options on the screen
- Combine values for the same product?: tick to show one line per product with the stock of all selected branches added up; untick to see one line per branch.
- Click to show footer (at the bottom): calculates the totals: Positive Inventory, Negative Inventory, Net Inventory Qty, and the positive, negative and total cost and retail amounts.
Filters
Click Filters to narrow the report. You can filter by:
Branch (Inventory), Branch Area, Stock No., Unit Barcode, Name, Chinese Name, Status, Default Supplier, Supplier, Category Tag, Category, Brand, Date Created, Last Modified, Inventory Status, Group Type, Memo, Description, Supplier SKU, Vatable, Senior, Management Type.
Columns

| Product | The product name. |
| Parent Category | The category one level above the product's category. |
| Status | The product's status: Active, Inactive or Discontinued. |
| Branch | The branch the stock is in (empty when values are combined). |
| Supplier | The product's default supplier. |
| Inventory | Current stock, in the product's default unit. |
| Cost | The product's purchase price (cost) in the branch. |
| Value (Cost) | Inventory × Cost. |
| Retail | The product's retail price in the branch. |
| Value (Retail) | Inventory × Retail. |
Also shows: Barcode, Stock No., Chinese Name, Description, Brand, Category, Supplier SKU.
Good to know
The cost columns and cost totals are only shown to users allowed to see costs.
