How to add a record

Required permission
Data › Payment Method › Create
  1. Open Data › Payment Method.

  2. In the empty row at the bottom of the list, fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
    CodeA short code.
    NameThe method name (required).
TypeThe kind of method, for example cash, check or charge.
Enable in WebTick to show it in the web system.
Enable in POSTick to show it at the POS.
    RemarksOptional notes.
  3. Click ✔ at the end of the row to save it.

  4. To set the extra fields the cashier fills in (for example a reference number), click Detail on its row. For each field enter the Field Name and Value, tick Included in POS Receipt to print it on POS receipts (up to 6 fields), and tick whether it's required. Click Save.

To change a record, edit it in the list and click ✔ (requires Data › Payment Method › Update). To delete one, click 🗑 (requires Data › Payment Method › Delete). You can't delete a record that's already in use.

To add many records at once, use Import in the toolbar (requires Data › Payment Method › Import Excel).

The Type decides how CIRMS treats the money: Cash (counted in the cash reports and the cashier's drawer), Check (asks for check details and goes to the check lists), Bank Deposit (goes to a bank account), Charge (cards, with optional payment surcharges), Mobile Payment (e-wallets) or Coupon.

Example. Add GCash with Type Mobile Payment, Enable in POS ticked. In Detail, add the field Reference No. (required, Included in POS Receipt ticked): cashiers must type the e-wallet reference, and it prints on the receipt. Changing a field's label later also changes it on old POS receipts (Changing the label will affect labels on reprinting old receipt).
