Branch Area

Branch areas group branches by region, for example North or South. Assign each branch to an area in Branch to filter branches and reports by area.

How to add a record​

Required permission
Data › Branch Area › Create

  1. Open Data › Branch Area.

  2. In the empty row at the bottom of the list, fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
    CodeA short code.
    NameThe area name (required).

  3. Click ✔ at the end of the row to save it.

To change a record, edit it in the list and click ✔ (requires Data › Branch Area › Update). To delete one, click 🗑 (requires Data › Branch Area › Delete). You can't delete a record that's already in use.

To add many records at once, use Import in the toolbar (requires Data › Branch Area › Import Excel).

Example. A chain with 12 stores creates the areas Metro Manila, North Luzon and Visayas, and sets each branch's Branch Area. Reports with a Branch Area filter, such as Product Inventory Value, can then show one region at a time.
